This guide will help you learn how to hit more powerful aerial shots and a little bit of game physics.
Velocity of the ball
Defining velocity of the ball:
-If ball is static (velocity = 0) then hitting the ball from any angle is going to be powerful (assuming
you are going fast or boosting).
-If ball is in the air then her velocity is not 0 constant and the angle of impact on ball is important depending on situation.
Example of theory about velocity
In this situation the ball is going up in the air and a bit to the right (orange) side.
The picture represents green and red side referring to good and bad angle to hit the ball focusing to hit it powerful not to score.
If you hit the ball from the red part of the field then you have to overcome the velocity of the ball coming to you and this will result in less powerful aerial.
How to use this to your benefits
This is the custom training pack by Poquito: 8D93-C997-0ACD-8416
In this pack try to almost match direction of the ball and slightly touch it with your nose of the car to redirect it to goal.
Keep in mind the velocity and good and bad angle of hit.
Experiment and see if you get more or less power on shots.
Here is a video from Jose Herrera, this video should give you a little insight of how it looks like to redirect aerial shot.
