The player takes the role of a nameless protagonist that the script refers to as Boku (boku is a word one can use to refer to themselves in Japanese. It's less formal than watashi, but not to the point of words like ore). Boku is a ronin that moves to Tokyo in hopes of being able to study and prepare himself for the university entrance exams. His hobbies as an artist and the myriad of temptations of the big city have kind of caused him to waste his time away, playing games and watching anime instead of focusing on studying. His need for a job eventually landed him a job at MoonEarth, an eroge studio that at the time was needing a character designer. The studio's fate takes a turn for the worse when the scenario writer decides to entirely drop out just as the crew is producing their first title.

The Egyptologist Professor Fuchs has been looking for the Queen Tara idol hidden in the Cat Temple. When he was close to get the objects to open the temple, communication with the base had been suddenly lost. Lara starts her own search for the Idol.
Gooka - The Mystery of Janatris is a sequel to the game called just Gooka which was released in 1997 for the fans of adventure games. Both games are based on books by Richard D. Evans. Once again, the player is taken to the strange world on the planet of Janatris. Once again, Gooka is the main hero of the day. Once again, he finds himself in trouble.

Basically, the game is an arcade racer. You control one of the Chromates, a golden Chromate, while it "drives" along a road, where obstacles, loops, gaps, etc. are in it's way. You have to make sure that the Chromate you control does not fall from the track. For this purpose, you will either dodge stationary Chromates or shoot at them to get them out of the way.
