Diet 32in24 is a special edition of the 32in24 series, which took place on 21 October, 2007, shortly after the fifth session. It is called Diet 32in24 as it actually only features 16 maps, which are designed for single player. Development of this WAD took the same approach as 32in24-5, with mappers creating their entire layout (plus thing placement) within 24 hours, and then the maps would be passed on to a second mapper who would detail the maps using a texture WAD compiled by Sarah Mancuso (esselfortium). Each map also contains at least two billboards, which feature humorous adverts that mostly relate to Doom and its community, or other games of the era. In total, the WAD contains 37 billboards.

It split off the Grid 32 community project and is built in a similar fashion, as the maps were created with a 32x32 grid in the map editor for all linedefs and vertexes, giving them a rather unique look, although this does not extend to thing placement.

This mod started from a chat session about learning to map and ways of improving.
The idea is to allow maps that are not normally released to be part of something bigger and that keeps growing.
It was original conceived for Half-Life 2 / Orange Box but could easily be extended to other single player games.
In retrospect it is clear that HoloReality was influenced by a Half-Life mod called Project Quantum Leap and Portal, although at the time of concept it didn’t seem that way.
E1M1rmx with a twist: a certain amount of red keys scattered throughout the map have to be collected in order to proceed, making the gameplay largely non-linear.
