Using the episode's additions to full effect, Zerstörer has an atmosphere of unparalleled bleakness and inhospitality - and sometimes outright scariness. In this way, it enhances the dark, gothic aspects of Quake.

Made by mexx (Marcus Dromowicz), the earliest "big name" in the Quake modding scene back in 1996 (not even one year past its release).
